Helen Eustis, Mystery Author and Translator, Dies at 98

Helen Eustis, a writer whose college experiences inspired her novel “The Horizontal Man,” which won the Mystery Writers of America’s Edgar Award for best first novel in 1947, died on Jan. 11 in Manhattan.
